2nd Quarterly Meeting April 20 at 6:30 PM, Hoss’s Family Steak & Sea, 1450 N. Atherton St., State College, PA 16803!

April meeting program will be an Introduction to Scribing, which we will follow up with scribe training sessions at our WE and Dressage play days and clinics. 2022 show and clinic entries are open on the KDCTA Website!

KDCTA is sponsoring 2 Dressage, 2 Jumper, and 1 Working Equitation schooling shows this year. We also have a great lineup of clinics for dressage, working equitation, and Positive Reinforcement (R+) Training. Click the links for more info.

Drill Team Update!

Drill team met last week for our first walkthrough at Shadow Acres Stables. Steph has agreed to coach again this year and has picked out a really interesting pattern! If you are interested but don’t have a suitable horse or transportation, Shilo and Virginia can provide mounts. If you aren’t sure about riding this year, earn some volunteer hours by helping out on the ground!

You may have noted from our listing of shows and clinics that several of our members are getting involved in Working Equitation (WE). What is WE and how does it relate to classical dressage? Read more in this month’s feature article by Stephanie Dobiss.

April Question: What is your favorite grooming tool for shedding? Send your response to kdcta22@gmail.com.
